What is Ramshorn Ltd?. Back in 1995 when the directors bought Skip Units in a management buy-out it was done with the help of a venture capital company. To allow them to exit and provide a vehicle for future expansion and growth the Directors of Skip Units Ltd created Ramshorn Ltd as an holding company Skip Units was bought by Ramshorn Ltd. in July 1999. The largest of the factories, the Derby operation is also the Headquarters of the Ramshorn Group
In November 1999 the Heavy side of MGB Randalls was purchased from T&D Industries plc. It was renamed Randalls Fabrications Ltd. in recognition of its unbroken connection with past manufacture of containers stretching back 30 years, and joined the alliance.
The factory manufacturing area was increased by one third in 2003 together with new access and yardage allowing deliveries and despatch to be kept separate
In November 2003 Ramshorn bought Waste Equipment Rentals Ltd. Through Waste Equipment Rentals, the group has a significant presence in the waste equipment hire sector. With an expanded choice of compactors and with such prestigious customers as Biffa, Marley, Glaxo Smith Kline and SITA. the group will now use it's full resources to expand the rental business on a nationwide basis.”
