For contact information click here Skip Units Ltd. was formed on the 1st June 1976 as a company to manufacture containers for the waste disposal industry. The current premises have been occupied since 1976 with major refurbishment taking place during 1995 & 1996. The company was a member of a group of companies until 1995 when a management buy-out took place. In August 1999 Skip Units became a subsidiary of Ramshorn Ltd. allowing the venture capital house that had supported the management buy-out to exit. Ramshorn Ltd is owned by the Directors of Skip Units Ltd.
LOCATIONDerby is situated near to the centre of the United Kingdom motorway network and has a main line rail link with London St. Pancras, East Midlands airport is 10 miles to the south. Derby is an ancient town, being one of the five towns of 10th century Danelaw and is only a few miles from the Peak District National Park. FACILITIES4500sq m. (48000 sq.ft) of factory space with five overhead, 5 and 10 ton cranes, 3 & 4 metre guillotines, autofeed saws, brake presses, MIG welding plants and a large paint shop. 475 sq.m.
